ACCOUNTABILITY POST

Here is my accountability post where I will cover my current stats, goals as well as purpose for fasting.

PREVIOUS ACCOUNTABILITY POST

I made an accountability post on 20th October 2024, for about 40 days ago. This older accountability post will be summed up here;

Real start weigh: 107.2 kg on 20th October 2024
Lowest weight: 98.9 kg on 22nd November 2024

I managed to fast up to 5 days until my food addiction kicked in. The temptations when going to grocery store with my wife when she needed food, all the good deals that were on Lidl.

Short after 22nd November, about a week ago – I didn’t fast much at all and slipped off.

Here’s the form photos on 20th October 2024 at 107.2 kg

CURRENT STATS

Age: 33 years old
Height: 182 cm
Weigh: 101.8 kg
Body fat: 31.4%

It is a slight difference from 40 days ago.

MY PAST

I did find an old photo of me taken for about 10 years ago in 2014 when I was around 70 kg and tucked in my stomach, decided to take a photo today doing the same at same location!

I used to be fit up to around start of year 2012 and at end of 2012 I began working out at gym and got it as a hobby.

I then managed to get more lean by 2014. I continued working out.

Though somewhere around 2016 to 2019 I usually circulated between 85-100 kg.

In 2019, I lived in the UK for a half year. It was there I started to skip eating lunch at work because it was crowded etc, I just didn’t feel the need for lunch. At the same time, it was the first time I began reading about the snake diet. Which I tried and did lose some weigh.

By time of 2020 I was already back at home in Sweden again, covid came, and I still was working out some, it was the most recent time I was actually in decent shape circulating around 85 kg.

On the photo I’m around 85 kg I believe, in february 2020.

Then covid began more rapidly, and I started to skip going to the gym as much, it more so been in periods. It was this time I also began to shave my head for the first time because balding spots and thin hair.

GOALS

  • Become lean ~10% body fat, surely below 80 kg.
  • Become overall healthier in body and mind.
  • Heal my skin.
  • Resist all potential risks of diabetes etc.

FASTING PLAN

My fasting plan now is to fast as long as I can! Until I reach below 90 kg, I will do long fasts 3+ days definitely.

When I’m below 90 kg I may continue by doing a rolling 2 or 3 days fast minimum.

When I’m reaching 80 kg I would do OMAD (one-meal-a-day) minimum til I am actually lean!

This will be done by drinking electrolyte water, also called ‘snake juice’ from snake diet. I already have my salt ingredients for this.

PURPOSE

SAVING MONEY

I am supporting my wife and our child. My wife been living with me for 14 months now, and I’ve footed about 5 full months household income for the entire pregnancy and birth this year!

Even if I have still been able to manage, it sure is hard pressure on the economy.

It’s high chance I’m also losing my job as they need to cut staff, making me even more worried about the entire situation.

OVERALL HEALTH

The overall health is the next purpose.

The body and mind are deeply connected, and fasting can have positive effects on both.

It may help me reduce stress and risks of diabetes in the long run. It may also help me improve things like self-confidence, sleep, mood and so on.

Best version of myself

Maybe this sound cliché, but I truly can’t become the best version of myself if I do not challenge myself to fast and actually get to my goal. I believe my body will impact my mental health a lot, especially when I get older.

In general, I believe in healthy body – healthy mind.

Great father

Since I became a dad now, I want to be the best father I can be, I want all positive things that come with fasting, everything from healthy to having more resources to support my kid.

Hot for my wife

I just went to double-check with my wife, and she believes I’m hotter as fit and not as a fatty I am now. So this is another purpose.

Prove others wrong

Some people say that prolonged fasting is dangerous or unhealthy. I do not believe it is. And I will prove them wrong.

Motivate others

With my results of fasting, it may add to the pool of all the people who done great transformations, which some find motivating! I wish to be added among those transformations.

I’m wrapping it up here, there may be more purposes behind my prolonged fasting and weigh loss, but these above are the real main ones that come to mind for now of why I will do prolonged fasting.
